Is Heidi Montag Coming to QVC?

39387, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - Saturday April 10 2010. Heidi Montag shows off her new beach body in a self-designed bikini as she hosts the grand opening of the Liquid Pool Lounge at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It is the first time the The Hills star and singer has been photographed in a bikini since undergoing 10 cosmetic procedures in one day late last year. The 23-year-old star underwent a mini brow lift, Botox in her brow and frownline area; a nose job revision; fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips; chin reduction; neck liposuction; had her ears pinned back; a breast augmentation revision; liposuction on her waist, hips and inner and outer thighs; and a buttock augmentation. Photograph: Kevin Perkins, PacificCoastNews.com

Admittedly, I try not to keep up with what plastic-surgery-addicted celebutante Heidi Montag is doing to extend her never-ending fifteen minutes of fame; but rumors are swirling that she's trying to follow in Kim Kardashian's faux-tanned footsteps and parlay her "celebrity" into a stint on QVC.

According to Spoiled Pretty, Heidi has been looking for a place to hawk her dry shampoo ever since her short-lived stint on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here last year. "Rumors surfaced that Heidi (Montag) Pratt had a deal with QVC to sell her upcoming line of dry shampoo. But when contacted by Access Hollywood, a QVC rep dismissed the rumor. "We currently do not have anything in the works with Heidi Pratt," the QVC rep said."

Honestly, I was ready to write off the whole Heidi dry shampoo QVC rumor as just a ridiculous rumor. I mean, surely not even QVC would sink that low! But then the infamous and all-knowing QVC message board poster "Godfreako"--who is always right and constantly getting banned--found this:

QVC Item# A202330 Heidi Montag Really Amazing Dry Shampoo (which isn't listed yet)

Of course, the post was quickly poofed by the QVC powers that be. Noooo, that's not suspicious at all.

So is there truth to the rumor? I would bet my unlifted bottom dollar that there is!

A New Weapon in the War on Frizz

Women have always had a rather complicated relationship with their hair--we will cut it, burn it, and attack with an array of advanced chemical concoctions all in a futile effort to simply get our hair to cooperate a little.

Frizz, for many, is enemy number one.

If you have frizzy hair, you know that no matter how much product you glop on or how long you flat iron your hair, the frizz will always win out in the end.

QVC is launching a new anti-frizz product that has been in the making for over 30 years: No Frizz by Living Proof, which won the Allure magazine "beauty breakthrough" of 2008.

Right now, anti-frizz products work using silicone; however, silicone "doesn’t prevent humidity from entering the hair shaft, and it doesn’t reduce the surface friction on hair. Rather, silicone works by weighing down hair with oil, ultimately allowing humidity to penetrate, leaving it limp and greasy.

This sounds very promising and I can't wait to read the reviews!

You can catch No Frizz on the Q Sunday, October 12th.

Eruption Over Kate Hudson's Volcanic Ash Shampoo

Kate Hudson launched her line of eco-friendly hair care products, David Babaii for WildAid, on HSN back in July. You can read my blog entry about the line and launch here.

According to TMZ.com, Kate Hudson is being sued by a hair care company called 220 Labs for unspecified damages. She allegedly enjoyed a sample of their soon-to-be-released secret volcano ash hair product so much that she released her own line of volcano ash hair products and sold them on the Home Shopping Network.

Can you put a patent on volcanic ash???

10% of the profits from this line were supposed to support a great animal charity, WildAid. I hope that this lawsuit doesn't take away from that.

It's Beautiful to be Good

Kate Hudson and celebrity hair stylist, David “King of Curl” Babaii, will be on HSN July 3rd through the 5th to unveil their new eco-conscious hair care collection, David Babaii for WildAid.

Ok, well, Kate will sorta be on … she’ll be phoning in her appearance. Under normal circumstances I would rag her for this (Queen Bea can’t stand it when celebs want to pawn their wares, but don’t want to be bothered to show up to do it. Yeah, I’m looking at you, SJP!). But this is for a really good cause, so I’m giving her a pass this time.

David—who was named the “King of Curl” by Vogue--has over a hundred major magazine covers and has worked with everyone from Angelina Jolie to Gwyneth Paltrow. He wanted to create a collection that could make you beautiful without harming the environment or animals.

The products use natural and renewable ingredients like rich Cupuacu butter from the South American Amazon, nutrient rich super volumizing volcanic ash from the Vanuatu islands of the South Pacific, Blue Algae, and Polynesian White Ginger.

Their products are free of sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, and animal products. And of course, free from all animal testing. They also donate 10% of all profits to WildAid.

WildAid is a non-profit organization that works to reverse the devastation of our planet’s wildlife. Their mission is to end the illegal wildlife trade within our lifetimes, allowing threatened species to recover to safe levels. WildAid’s goal is a world in which local communities can improve their lives without destroying their environment.

Blue Plate Special Daily Round Up ... the Calm After the Evil Pay Storm

Take a deep breath ................. now exhale! Evil pay day is over. Time to step into the recovery room.

QVC has a Breezies bra TSV that's supposed to keep you cool in the sweltering heat of summer. I wonder if that UltimAir lining really can keep the girls cool ... that sure would be nice. If you haven't noticed, it's hotter than hades out there lately.

The bra is also seamless, so it's supposed to look better under those thin, knit tops and also help with those unsightly back fat bulges. Considering that I just bought a bra that makes me look like I have 4 boobs, I might want to look closer at this one.

Don't forget that RLM will be on with some new pieces today! I thought about getting that Forgive/Forget ring, but then I realized that every time I looked at it, I would be reminded of who I was mad at and why! Read about Robert and the Olsen twins here.

HSN has a JVC 35xzoom flas memory camcorder for their TS. Using a memory card would be soooo much easier than that stupid, pain-in-the-arse digital tape I have to use in my camcorder.

Ken Paves, you know that cute little blond guy with the funny voice that is Jessica Simpson's hairstylist, will be coming out with a line of hair care products June 24 called Healthy Hair to add to the hair extensions line, hairdo. I'm always so tempted to buy that fake hair, but then I always geek out and cancel. I don't think that I'm responsible enough to take care of fake hair--it would turn into a rat's nest for sure.

ShopNBC has a beautifully-designed diamond ring for their OTV. The diamonds are so-so, but overall it's a beautiful ring. not gonna spend $900 for it, but I like it. Not bad Chuck Clemency!

Calm selections for our calm post-evil-pay-day recovery. Breathe, chickadees, breathe!

New WEN is Finally Here (Almost!)

Mr. Chaz Dean himself finally announced that his new products are about to roll out. And all the people rejoice! Amen.

He's using the same wash-with-conditioner concept and applying it to the rest of the body. And I heard from a few lucky ducks that got to try a samples of the new WEN Lavender Body Cleansing Crème and WEN Lavender Lotion and they said it was fabulous.

For both skin and hair, there is the new WEN Bath, Body & Hair Oil formulas (Lavender and Cucumber Aloe). I love the idea of just one product that you can use from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. I might just have to try that one.

And he's finally releasing his overnight conditioner, WEN Re-Moist Hydrating Mask (Lavender, Cucumber Aloe, Sweet Almond Mint, and Fig). He's been pampering his numerous celeb clients--like almost every Desperate Housewife on Wisteria Lane--with this product for 15 years. Better late then never, I suppose. You know this must mean that there's a newer, better magic potion that the celebs are getting now. They couldn't possibly use the same products as us little folks (even though I am a self-proclaimed Queen, my kingdom is very small).

Finally there's the WEN Styling Crème that's supposed to eliminate frizz, add shine, add volume, provide hold, and protect against damage from styling tools. Can one product really do all that??? I can't wait to read the reviews on that one.

Even though I've been scared to dip my toe in the cleaning with condition pool, any man who loves dogs as much as Chaz, must be good peoples.

Vote or Dye (your hair): Best of Sephora 2008

There is a looooooong list of nominees this year my little chickadees. But it could be worth your while to go vote. You could end up winning one of each of the 30 winning products, $1000 Sephora gift card, and a trip for two to Sephora University in San Fransisco (I didn't know Sephora was so academically minded!).

Most of these products are sold on either QVC or HSN, so Home Shopping Queens are well-educated voters who are focused on the real issues--talc, mica, petroleum ... we know our ingrediants, not just the pretty packaging (who am I kidding, I'm a sucker for pretty packaging!).

Chaz Dean's New Triplets!

After the deaths of Chaz's two dogs, Grace and Montgomery, he has recently welcomed three new additions to the Chaz Dean Studio family: Spencer, Hunter, & Ella--or The Trinity as he calls them!

They are sooooooo cute!!!

I have never tried the WEN products sold on QVC and I have to admit that the concept of washing with conditioner kinda sorta scares me! They have a huge cult following so there must be something to it! I would definitely try a free sample though.

You can even use the products on your pets. They recommend using the Sweet Almond Mint, Fig, Cucumber Aloe or Lavender Cleansing Conditioners on your animals. They do not recommend using Tea Tree on animals as they tend to be allergic or sensitive to Tea Tree. For dogs they follow with the Sweet Almond Mint or Fig Oil on their dry coat, keeping them soft, shiny & smelling heavenly. WEN products and ingredients are not tested on animals.

Chaz was on last week for only one one-hour show to celebrate his anniversary with the Q. Supposedly, he has several new products in the works and they just weren't ready in time for the big anniversary. So don't fret! He'll be on again soon.

If you would like to make a donation honoring Grace Kelly Dean and Montgomery Clift Dean, please call (970)491-3932 or visit the "Premier Animal Cancer Research Facility" website.
