As previously reported by Queen Bea, Dave King has left the building without even a "thanks for playing, we have some lovely parting gifts for you." The latest rumors winding their way through the home shopping grapevine are that Dave himself didn't even know that May 29th was going to be his last last day on air at the Q. He said that he didn't have any health problems and plans on figuring out what to do next after his son's graduation. However, this is all speculation ... people saying that they are corresponding with Dave via email and posting the information. Who knows? There's also speculation about off-air "relationships" with some of the vedors ... Temptations lady, maybe?Personally, I think he probably knew it was coming. Saw the writing on the wall as it were, but didn't expect it to go down the way it did. Maybe they brought in
consultants a la Office Space (one of Queen Bea's most favoritest movies evah!) and they decided to give him the boot. Hope he had a chance to grab his red, Swingline stapler on the way out!ETA: Most recent information HERE.

I saw Dave King in a television commercial last night for a health food drink that includes Glucosamine & Chondroitin for your joints. He was acting like he was a Radio D.J. I had to rewind the DVR! I am in Los Angeles. I know we wish him all the best! Kathy

ReplyDeleteDave King looks alot happier at shopNBC...he always seemed stressed and a bit nervous when on tv at QVC....wonder why QVC got rid of him....he was really good and not an idiot like that Rick Domeier...oh well good luck to him....
