A short few months after being promoted to host, Davinia Palmer is gone. Her profile is no longer listed on the QVC host page (although you can still get to it here).You see, this is how it works ... I'm hot on the trail of the Patti Reilly leaving story and Davinia up and leaves (or whatever happened!) Ugh! It's like a crazy home shopping slight of hand trick.

Very surprising that she left so soon after her promotion.
ReplyDeleteI have to wonder who's decision it was....maybe there were personal issues involving family and friends back in the UK. With the cost of air travel these days, maybe she just need to be closer to home.
Anyway, that lilting Welsh accent, gentle laugh, and ready smile will be missed in the darkness of the overnight.
I'm sure they'll be an update on "whassup?" on her website.

ReplyDeleteSuprising indeed. What I don't understand is why QVC wouldn't just say that she was leaving to be closer to family.
Seems to me that QVC can't ask their customers to become invested in their hosts as people and then completely ignore when one of them disappears.
I'll be sure to check her blog.

It does look like Patti is leaving the Q. I just found her website. PattiReilly.net. Seems odd that she hasn't had one all this time and then as rumors that she's leaving start to arise, her site pops up.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I watched Patti on the Q, she didn't seem at all happy, her old usual bubbly self. I thought there might be a problem with the vendor she was doing the show with, but Daria of philosophy is such a doll, I couldn't imagine that. Maybe the issues that are sending her away from QVC are what I saw on-air the other night?

What will QVC do when all their good hosts are gone? Those that are left will be sooooooooo over worked! I am surprised to hear that Bob Bowersox is gone; he was there from day 1! Although Patti has become quite conceited since her weight loss, she will be missed.
ReplyDeleteDavinia was let go because she could not get to work on time. She had a hard time doing the over-nights and they canned her. Did you ever see her with no make up and wet hair? It happened a few times!!!
ReplyDeleteI did not realise she was gone. Just to show how boring she was. Nice accent and all but no perkiness and the usual bubbly attitude we have come to see and expect from our QVC hosts.
