Blue Plate Special Daily Round Up

HSN has the Colin Cowie Double-Wall Pitcher and Set of 4 Glasses as their TS. At first, this looked lame to me, but after some closer inspection, I really like it. Glasses made out of real glass (not plastic), double-walled (no, or at least limited condensation and you can use them for hot or cold beverages), simple design (goes with whatever you've already got), free shipping (all the people rejoice!), and it all comes with a 1-year subscription to Gourmet magazine! Not bad at all! No wonder Oprah loves Colin so much.

There are lots of up-sell items, which you'll have to buy in order to really use the set. Four glasses just ain't gonna be enough, chickadees! Queen Bea alone keeps a drink in each hand. There are some reviews that complain that the glasses are fragile. If that's true, then this is no good. Hmmm ... now I'm torn.

Anyway, if you do want to load up, try the $20 off anything over $100 coupon: 450881. I havne't tried it, so I can't attest to it. Most of the time you have to be a credit card holder or something to get these HSN codes to work. Let me know!

QVC's TSV is an insulated tote bag. It's fine, but for the money, I prefer item# K11472, Lock & Lock 5-piece set with cooler bag. It's probably smaller, but you get all those Lock & Lock containers with it! Have I mentioned how much I just love Lock & Lock???

I got all excited when I saw L&L at Target, but the deals really are better at the Q (even with the shipping).

ShopNBC has a Magellan GPS as their OTV today. It's one of the smaller, budget models. But based on the quick Google I did, their price really is good.

Here's a ShopNBC coupon code for you, chickadees: $5 off $50+ purchase (Excl. automated ordering, Auctions, Our Top Value, food, computers, electronics, entertainment/toys, and fitness) code YWOW123 (expires 6/30/08).

  3. Um, glass is always fragile. Of course, some glass sets require a little more white glove treatment than others, but I say if you like the design you should go for it! I plan to--those are awesome.
