Cindy Crawford vs. SuperMelC
Cindy Crawford will be back on QVC in May to hawk her skincare line, Meaningful Beauty. She was on the Q several years ago selling the same line, but was supposedly dropped for low sales. Will it be any different this time?
Obviously, if I could slap a cream on my face and look like Cindy Crawford, I'd buy that special French non-rotting melon cream like it was going out of style--but for some reason, I have my doubts.
Cindy also has competition this time from SSC's SuperMelC line, which is supposed to be the made from the same magic melon.
Oh well, I've always liked Cindy. She's a model with a brain and she's never looked like an emaciated, strung-out heroine addict like most of the models do these days.

I've never liked Cindy Crawford.
ReplyDeleteYears ago, when she was flying high as one of the first supermodels, she appeared on the Letterman show, and Dave proceeded to ask her about a famous explorer/mountain climber (whose name I'm too lazy to look up right now so I know I'm spelling it right), since she was discussing a visit to Tibet with her then-husband, Richard Gere. She looked down her nose at Dave and said somewhat snootily "I don't know who that is" and could have added "... and I don't have to know because I'm gorgeous."
I don't like her denim furniture line for a bargain furniture chain and I think she's already spread herself too thin, marketing-wise.
So, there.
