Dana Shares her Survival Story
We've watched Dana Bledsoe, the lovely Perricone vendor rep, continue to forge ahead, go on the air, and do her job--all while fighting cancer. Her recent dramatic "hair cut" was in reality Dana tossing out the wigs when her real hair started to grow back after the treatments were completed.
I'm not going to pretend to be a fan of the brand since Dr. Perricone is a little too rich for my blood. However, I am a fan of Dana and her courage.
Her advice? If you know someone who is going through cancer treatments, call them. Just take a moment and reach out to them. I think so many times, we're so afraid that we might say the wrong thing, that we say nothing at all.
Be sure to check out the Pink Ribbon products on QVC. A portion of the proceeds will be going towards the Breast cancer Research Foundation. You can also read blogs written by QVC employees who themselves are survivors of the disease.

My heart goes out to Dana. I would have never guessed she had been wearing a wig and it took courage to just say "the heck with, off it comes"! She has really shown such great courage and grace to fight this battle and continue to appear on QVC. I would have never guessed. We never know when we see someone on the street or anywhere just what might be going on in their life. Best wishes to you Dana!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about Dana! I never watch the Perricone shows because it's also too rich for me, as well, Queen Bea.
ReplyDeleteP.S.- She actually looks as cute as a button in the short hair. All the best to her.
I figured something was up with Dana, but was hoping it wasn't cancer. I can tell she's a fighter and hope all is going well! I do love Dr. Perricone's products and treat myself every once in a long while but always watch Dana's presentations. I love her attitude!
ReplyDeleteI just want to know why the fake British accent comes and goes...just like Madonna!
ReplyDeleteHello , can i make contact with Dana through this medium ? Janardana Dasa , Ireland . Email jono.dasa@live.com
ReplyDeleteTo Dana, all her WTW Drama friends are thinking about her!!!!
ReplyDeleteI went to high school with her - the accent is fake, she's a freaking actress, had a nose job at 13 in 8th grade and is probably lying about having cancer to get attention and book work...she's a complete fake...came back to our reunion with an Irish accent. LOL She's a freakshow and a complete JOKE!
ReplyDeleteShe lived in Ireland. That is where I met her and where I am now. I have not heard from her in many years and it just came into my head to google her. Hope she gets well soon.
ReplyDeleteI knew Dana in Highschool. She was not a fake but a very sweet and kind person. At the time, Dana did not care about what the color of your skin was or your origin, she embraced differences among people. Of all the people I went to school with she among only a few others stands out. I wish her all the best -Susan
ReplyDeleteDana is an absolute sweetheart! One of the nicest people you will ever meet.
ReplyDeleteDana is one of the most lovely people I have ever known. She lived in Ireland for years and had an amazing talent both as an actress and for bringing an unusual mixture of people together. She always had a lot of close friends who loved her of which I was proud to be one. Rock on Dana, tea and fresh scones await your return.
ReplyDeleteDana it's been many years.
ReplyDeleteI know you'll come through
This as I understand your
Strength of WILL:)
That big smile of yours
Hasn't changed one bit!
Be strong......Love n Bear Hugs
B:)
Wow!! I can't believe the person who went to high school with Dana would say that she probably faked cancer!! WTH??? How could you say such a thing!! Obviously you have never had cancer or seen the affect it has on someone who has!! Dana is extremely beautiful...I always watch her on QVC...I can only aspire to have such gorgeous skin and be so beautiful. AND btw, who cares about her accent...when all is said and done, does it really matter?? Her accent does NOT define her as a person! You people are just rude!! My mother always taught me, "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all!!" That person that supposedly went to HS with Dana needs to take a lesson from my mother!! Congratulations to Dana for your successful recovery from cancer and the birth of your daughter!! God Bless!!
ReplyDeleteI think her accent is her problem. Dr. P products are the best and all you hater should just be quite...
ReplyDeleteIf your IQ is so low that you can't understand Dr.P products -c/o of smell of products... This product is not for you- feel sorry for all of you don't know what you are missing I have used everything out in the market nothing compares and I keep going to Dr. P....He is the best so don't blame Dana for acting that way I would be the same. Products are awesome you could put all his products same time and doesn't feel valet like other things in market. You don't have to a genius to use his products.,.Dana your lovely person doing a good job.
ReplyDeleteI had the pleasure of meeting Dana & her family today. She is an absolute doll! Beauty aside, she is the epitome of a lady & we had a wonderful time with her and her husband. Her skin is FAB U LOUS!!! Kudos to her & her lovely family.
ReplyDeleteI was friends with Dana in high school as well, and she was lovely and sweet then, and she looks lovely and sweet now. For such a beautiful girl (and she was beautiful), she was also kind and generous, and had a great laugh, as well as the ability to laugh at herself. I have only fond memories of her. I know she lived in Ireland for a time, so if her accent is affected by that, it only makes sense. I wish her the very best...
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm "ANONYMOUS" too. Dana is sweet like saccharin is sweet in other words... NOT REAL! She is a complete and utter FAKE. She is probably a little 'off' also (it appears she basically stalked Dr. P and oozed all over him to get a job)... her accent is FAKE, STRANGE, and BAZAAR, her mannerisms, and the "stories" she projects are fabricated... IMO, so is she. Most of the above posts complimenting her are ANONYMOUS AND MOST probably written by HER! She behaves very strangely and I thought so the FIRST time I saw one of her presentations and I still do. The ONLY reason I have ever continued to watch her on the Q is because she is SO weird! I've tried Dr. Perricone's products... they are WAY overpriced and if they worked SO well (which they do NOT), why does HE look SO old (if you saw him in person you'd understand what I mean). So, bottom line? Dana IS sweet if you like FAKE honey and artificial sugar and overly priced sugar substitutes.... just sayin.
ReplyDeleteWhere is she actually from? Native to? I have noticed her 'accents' change as well. I hate she went through the cancer ordeal.
Deletejust sayin your stupid
DeleteBTW: I posted the above and though I may have been a bit harsh, I meant to express my feelings, yet being late and unexpected, it came out a bit severe, yet my opinion stands as far as the bottom line and I would like to add: I have survived cancer 2x. I'm sorry if she, also, has struggled with it, yet, first of all that has nothing to do with her false front. Secondly, it is pretty much evident that she has NOT truly gone through radiation or chemo (chemical or otherwise)... UN Uh!! Her overall body structure (muscle/fat, etc) following chemo at the levels that would make one lose their hair would have affected her much more. She is and has been very healthy as far as body structure throughout this timeframe. I've known many, many women who have struggled through cancer in varying degrees and as for myself, I have always followed healthy eating as well as holistic lifestyle in general including skin care products and trust me, going through cancer takes much more of a dramatic toll on the body for sure, and chemo that makes you lose your hair is apparent throughout your body... you get lank, your muscles and not just your skin on your arms... chest, everywhere suffer from it!!! So bottom line, Dana is NOT for real in SO many ways. Apparently she maintains a fake persona in order to make $$$$ and retain a position that allows her to be in the position she is and she will do AND say and ACT in ways she believes she needs to in order to stay where she is! Let's face it, in order to sell skin care products, you have to sell yourself to your customer ie, gain trust. Well, she hasn't been able to gain trust (variable personality projection), so she has gone to the next level and is not trying to gain loyalty with sympathy!! She uses compassion.. hey the accent isn't working all that great, right?).
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%. I'm so sorry for your illness. She is not a hero, the real heroes suffer in silence!
DeleteWhat is wrong with you people, to be so mean and spitefull? I just had to reply to anyone who can say such cruel things. Do you have any belief in God? Sure doesn't sound like it
DeleteContinued from above post:
ReplyDeleteI've witnessed her as she goes from one fake personality to another in her presentations, almost as if her true self fights to emerge (she is probably a removed person in reality on one level and yet puts on all the airs to project herself as something she is NOT and therefore ends up as appearing[?] neurotic). Dana has a very false front! Just because she has had or claims to have had cancer, well that has nothing to do with Dana as a whole... Dana who represents a major skin care line and yet fluctuates from one strange personality to another... actions, accent... the whole works! And, yes, I read and know skin care ingredients AND fortunately, I also have the intuitiveness to realize true and honest integrity when I see it. BTW, this is the first time I've ever posted on a blog (I was Googling something for QVC) I am not the a person to 'dis' anyone, yet I had to put my 2 cents in on DANA... sorry if it offends her or anyone else, yet it is my HONEST opinion. I agree about being kind to each other... OF COURSE, yet we are talking about a TV personality and I also believe one shouldn't pretend they are something they are NOT in order to make sales... that is a LOT of money they are asking for Dr. P products and she is basically the "face" selling it. It certainly appears that Dana will do or say just about anything in order to maintain her position and income, including not being her true 'self'! Most importantly, OBVIOUSLY AND BASICALLY it is OUR MONEY that is at stake! The price of the whole skin care regime with Dr. P is equivalent to a small mortgage when you add it up and it truly does not have that many benefits (you could afford plastic surgery for the price tag over time)... So, if I'm going to spend THAT kind of $$ every month on skin care that is supposedly going to work miracles, I want someone that I can feel comfortable with and truly BELIEVE they are being HONEST and that does not happen when I see DANA go from one mixed up personality to another like Sybil (the woman with multiple personalities). It's all about being REAL and Dana does not appear to be real... so, therefore, I must also question the PRODUCTS (which, as mentioned, I HAVE). So, lastly, Dana... I hope you find good health INSIDE AND OUT (whether or not you truly had cancer); your TRUE self and find what you are seeking whether with continuing on with Dr. P or finding another passion that TRULY fits "YOU". THEN you will be a whole and wonderful Dana that people want to see and want to purchase from (and want to be around) and not a fake, made up, dishonest clone (shell) of a projected Dana! Best wishes.
You seriously need help!
DeleteShe sure does!
DeleteYour an idiot
Deleteyes
ReplyDeleteWow! The previous poster has some big problems.
ReplyDeleteWow ! what is seriously wrong with that poster on here? is it jealously ? because she is the one who needs help..not Dana, May God heal and bless Dana, she has children, who need her here! wow still can't wrap my head around that sick jealous woman who has been putting her down on this forum ....so sad.
ReplyDeleteYou are clearly very obsessed with Dana and that's because you are jealous, period.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Dana. My daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago, and had a double mastectomy at age 37. It was truly the scariest time of my life, being a mother and having to watch your daughter go through something so terrifying. You have so much courage, and you are so beautiful I was shocked watching the CEW Awards to find out that you have stage 4 cancer. You're glowing and radiant and no one would ever know it. Thank you for sharing your story which I know will help so many others and give them hope and a peace to see how bravely you are facing this hortible disease. My prayers will be with you that God will envelop you with His grace and His love and all of His healing power. Much love to you Dana
