So Lisa Robertson looked stunning last night during the Appatite Gem Day Show ... however, she was having a little issue with the big plastic security tag still being attached to her dress.

I have a special affair to go to, and I can't find anything as specials as the soft green or bronze dress that Lisa wears one some of the jewelry shows. DeleteI believe QVC and/or LR is/are trying to pull the wool over our eyes with her alleged holiday home and decorations? Even the great saleswoman, L.R., seemed liked she wasn't even buying what was being pitched through her half hearted answers and body language. I believe that video was taped at QVC studios (I've seen that same back drop, the same colored flat paint, look at the stairs that had the faux poinsettas, not one picture on the wall or table). I'm not buying it QVC.

DeleteThe vendors make me sick every time they say oh Lisa Robertson owns this while they are presenting with another host. Bruce M. and Barry Ort are the main offenders albeit Barry is entertaining. Jane Treacy called out Bruce for this although she did it in a professional manner. I was like good for her.

ReplyDeleteThe cameramen used to do a close up shot of her whenever she tried on earrings and now they don't even do that. Look at "her christmas trees vidoe" and you can tell that is on the sets at QVC. They don't even show Cason like arriving at her house. On the stairway shot, she looked awkward putting the leaf back in the swag on the bannister.
The reason they don't go in for close ups on Lisa R. I think - is for everything on her face is fake ..... Fake eyelashes, fake nose, and the for someone who prides herself in beauty she needs to take a refreasher course.

I watched Lisa tonight, and had to look up a prenose job pic... its really unbelievable, her nose has a michael jacksonesque quality to it. She is still best host ever, but she certainly didn't get her nose "fixed". Its distubing.

QVC should give some other hosts the opportunity as well.
Although I am not a fan of LR (too much pompous and fake for "my" taste), I'll be the first person to say that LR looked fabulous in the emerald MZ gown during QVC's "red carpet" event.

ReplyDeleteFor a while, I've noticed there aren't a lot of sold out signs. They have the prime time slots and present the most popular products.
If QVC would put the products on a turntable, they would sell themselves. For example, put a rotating B.Makowsky handbag and show it front back and opened, viewers would still buy it w/o LR telling you that you just have to have it in order to look like a celebrity or B.M telling us that Lisa owns this bag.
Is it me or have others noticed that when Cyndi Crawford, Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum, and Jessica Simpson are on Lisa Robertson's demeanor changes? I remember when K.K. perfume first debut on PM Style, L.R. didn't share the stage/camera with her, the other hostess came on and presented it. I was like WTH. Poor C.C. had to really promote and talk about her beauty products- LR said very little.

I am not sure that husbands are willing to pay for their wives to look like the great L.R.
I am sure Lisa gave quite a lot of money as well when comparing her before and just starting at the Q vs. her now look - just my observation which is not spurred on by jealousy. Before she had work done, she admitted to going in a surgeon's office because she was depressed. Her admission was on a PM Style show several years ago.

L.R. is definitely my fav. Yet people are calling in all the time telling her how much they LOVe her and how funny she is. I've been watching QVC for a very long time and all of the hosts have very different looks and personalities. I think their looks are a combination of how they heel most secure about themselves, how their look translates on TV, their sales ability, demeanor, and personalities. They all have their issues as do we the consumer and nobody can please everybody. As for people demeaning and degrading Lisa Robertson for example, if you closed your eyes and listened to her, she is a person that you would want at a dinner party. She is cute, funny, charming and a keen sense of humor. Did anyone stop to think that perhaps she has some insecurity issues as well? She has been with QVC for a very long time so she must be doing something right. I wish people would stop tearing others apart and learn to "Do Unto Others..". This world would be a better place!

The thing I most frown about with Lisa is how in the could she use every single beauty product? Really? I watch her sell telling me I can look as great as her if I use this...no I can't!!! I need to have a chemical peel, a mini face lift,lip injections,BOTOX...just to name a few. Yes I have gotten botox and I know the results I have are from it not a beauty product from QVC. Please stop lying to us!!!We can never get your results, no matter how many QVC products we use. Sorry I love LR,but be honest.

I agree Lisa Robertson's makeup is so extremely heavy, heavy lip lines, heavy eye lashes, heavy jawline contouring power, and face makeup. It ages her terribly. I don't know her age, but she really looks 50, despite her trim figure. And that faux tan whatever she uses looks so orangey and settles into her hands, cuticles and knuckes. Lisa, do you ever look at yourself. And the relationship between LR and J.R. is so fake. Lisa really acts like she wants to be in with the Hollywood crowd. Take off all that makeup and you'd look better.

ReplyDeleteMary Beth's hair is too long for her age. It looks thin and stringy. Her face is beautiful but her hair does nothing for her. It looks better lighter and needs to,be cut shorter. Jane should NOT be wearing those full skirted dresses...they make her look bottom heavy like a triangle shape and the dresses are what a 12 year would wear. Much too young for her. Shawn's legs are too thin to wear leggings, (stork legs). And her hair needs to be longer. Too many straight bangs, looks like a mop. Jill really needs a new do, she's had the same one for years. Too short and flat..maybe high liters or a lighter color would be good.

Yes, I do believe Miss Lisa Robertson is at the end of her career. In a couple years she will be a has been,,,and she is getting scared. Wont be the Queen of QVC anymore. There are newer fresher faces coming on board...thank God!!! I am soooo over her. And so are alot of people. Check out her Facebook page...she is always getting bashed.
ReplyDeleteFor heaven's sake -- it's a shopping channel , folks! It's about marketing and sales. The company is happy to give top dollars to top sellers because THEY MAKE MONEY!! Why on earth would they have somebody introduce products who is less successful --- statistically! They track this stuff - they KNOW who their top sellers are, and they use their sales force to the optimum.....just like ANY sucessful business!! They don't read blogs like and try to figure out who to feature!!! THe sales figures speak for themselves. I'm sure you all have your favorites, and none of you color your hair, buy any make up or wrinkle cream, spanxx, or diet products, etc. You are all watching to buy dishware and linen - which woud take a few days, then no reason to watch.....or, just go online to the catalog, buy what you want (you receive notificatio of new products or can look for them) and use your time to have a conversation with REAL people who are talking to you and looking for a response - who are intereted in having a dialog, not selling you something......why watch this? I will say I leave it on when I'm gone because my pets hear people in the background.....and the dog and cats don't seem to care who's wearing false eyelashes! GET A LIFE, PEOPLE!!!
ReplyDeleteHey they are "PUBLIC PEOPLE" and what is the MOST fun you can have than to "BASH" a "Celebrity" Whether it be Arnold Schwartzenager, Lisa Robertson or ZIGGY they "CHOSE" to be in the PUBLIC EYE so If they can not handle Critism then they should become NUNS or MONKS! I believe Lisa Robertson QVC can easily be a NUN she never talked about being with any man other than QVC Vendors or her Family and & believe she is still a "VIRGIN".

ReplyDeleteI personally love Amy Stran....she seems so sincere, sweet n very pretty.....always a pleasure 2 watch on the Q! I also enjoy watching Carolyn Gracie.......she is just so real & always explains her items 2 a T!!! These 2 gals r refreshing.......Also, Shawn K. is quite the entertainer!! :) Bottom line QVC is fun & has alot of gd products 4 sale......I do agree that change (hosts) is good!!!

ReplyDeleteWhy are women hardest on eachother? We are told to be confident, yet when we do (like LR), then we are somehow eventually stoned to death (as in this posts stoning of LR). Why does it matter whether she is married? Does that somehow validate her as a woman, as someone that is worthy? Interesting, considering America's divorce rate is still 50%. Finally--you never know what type of challenges someone is facing (regardless of how they are expected to appear professionally). Take the plank out of your own eye.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy LR because of her quick wit but I have to agree with some of the bashers. Physically, everything is fake. Now and again they show a closeup and it's all so visible and obvious. She definitely tends to talk over her guests which is so rude but some of the other hosts do the same.Those of you that think she's gay because she isn't married are being as assanine as they get. Not everyone is cut out for marriage for a myriad of reasons and it isn't anyone's business to criticize or speculate. I have two wonderful girlfriends that aren't married and both are in their 60's!!!
ReplyDeleteThe one I'd very happily live my life without ever seeing again is JRT. Now that's a pathetic woman. ALWAYS talking about her girls especially the older one. Now really, who cares? She seems so insecure and acts "bossy". I think that might come from a long seeded bought of being short. I'm short as well so I know about insecurity but at age 62 I'm long over it. She is by far the worst dresser on that channel and should consider a new stylist. I caught her the other day with a pretty blouse, sweater and STRAIGHT skirt and she looked 100% better. The last thing a girl with monster hips needs is a full skirt. That stupid hair has to go as well. She must know by now that her ears are huge and should be the last thing to expose. She started growing her hair out a little and looked a whole lot better. Too much dark makeup as well. Take some makeup tips from Carolyn, Amy and Shawn who are never overly made up. And stop bouncing around the set like a kid in a candy store. Take a tranquiler or something. I just can't watch the woman anymore.

Wow! I LOVE how so many smart and observant people notice what a fake and phony human being Lisa is. She is just nasty and ridiculous. FAKE ! Unwatchable and annoying. Reflects terribly on Qvc.

ReplyDeleteLisa is what she is-- a middle aged woman who cares for herself and maintains a very attractive appearance. She probably looks loads better than the gals on here criticizing her. She does her job well and is sincere and caring for her customers. She probably was gorgeous in her younger days but age is taking a bit of toll, just like it does for all of us. She still, as I say, is a very, very attractive lady who keeps up with fashion and the latest. She keeps slim and cares about her health and well being I believe. I also believes she wishes the best for her customers. I think I admire her a lot.

We are only to her chest area and we've already identified 5 things. How or why in the world would the Q bank so heavily on this woman is beyond me. Her constant monitor staring and laughing at her own jokes is sickening. We can not turn the channel fast enough when we spot her on the show. Yuck! Liberty media really needs to shake up that show and get her - especially HER off the air asap. She looks like a chain smoking old hag that craves attention and can't get over herself.
