Today's Blue Plate Specials ... Is it Cold in Here?

The QVC TSV is a Denim & Co. Reversible Leather to Suede Zip Front Jacket. I love the concept of this--one price and I get a neutral, classic leather coat that reverses to a colorful suede jacket. Love this! The colors and sizes are going fast, y'all! I'm rather fond of the chocolate/orange one myself, very fall fabulous.

The ShopNBC OTV is a Pamela McCoy Zip Front Quilted Metallic Leather Jacket. Apparently it's leather jacket day in Home Shopping Land! But I guess since Christmas was last week in Home Shopping Land, this makes sense. This leather jacket has a pearlized finish and the world famous Pamela "Oh Wes!" McCoy look-like-you-just-lost-10-pounds cut. I like Pam's jackets, but sometimes they boarder on Michael-Jackson-Beat-It style!

The HSN TS is an Olympus 18X Wide-Angle Ultra-Zoom SLR-Style Digital Camera. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert at cameras. I am going to say that 18x optical zoom sends a tingle all the way to my toes! I love to zoom--and not that dumb old grainy digital zoom either.

Today's Blue Plate Specials ... Hot Leather!

ShopNBC has more summer leather with the Pamela McCoy Zip Front Reptile-Print Leather Jacket. I still don't understand why they keep doing all this leather when we're closing in on the Fourth of July. In fact, Pamela McCoy just had a leather OTV not that long ago! However, this jacket is totally smokin' hawt! In the good way! Queen Bea is drooling ...

HSN's TS is a Gem Essence Interchangeable Gemstone 30" Pendant Watch. My aunt gave me a watch necklace when I was a kid (I think she probably got it from Avon) and I loved it. Like a middle-aged man with his new Rolex, I thought I was so cool and was always looking for an excuse to tell people what time it was.

Anyway, this particular necklace watch seems to be good in theory, but I worry that the chain will break, or the stones will fall out or crack, or the watch will just completely poop out. I don't know. At least it doesn't have anything to do with cleavage.

QVC has a comfy Carole Hochman Capri Pajama Set with Robe as their TSV today. At first, I wasn't particularly impressed. I mean it looked fine, but nothing to write home about. But then I saw the built in bra in the top and it won me over! You can relax and be comfortable without being obscene if someone comes to the door or the air conditioner makes the room a tad to chilly. The girls just need a little extra support while they're lounging!

And don't forget that Barbara Bixby is on today at 6 (Queen Bea does the happy dance!). The only sneak previews I have are here.

QVC TSV: Wait List B. Makowsky

B. Makowsky Glove Leather Double Handle Belted Shopper

Item# A82557

$189.60

No Easy Pays on this one chickadees!

Choice of Tan, Bone, Multi, Olive, or Black

I love, love, LOVE B. Makowsky purses (as Lisa R. would say), but this one is all but gone, gone, gone. I wasn't awake at midnight to see the kick off and sell out of this purse. Black is the only color left this morning. I looked through the other purses and there are slim pickings.

I love the feel of high-quality leather (QVC description: finest glove leather: supple, smooth, and unbelievably buttery soft ... I'm dying here!) and the look of cool leopard-print linings.

And I love the outside pockets and the magnetic closures (translation: too lazy to fiddle with regular snaps!).

And I don't care what the fashion mags say, if big purses go out of style, Queen Bea is still gonna lug around her suitcase for a purse. Can't manage without it.

You see, QVC PTB (powers that be) ... this is what happens when you offer a truly quality designer product. It. Sells. Out. Quickly. Take note!

BTW, Bruce Makowsky is the husband of bag designer Kathy Van Zeeland. I love her funky purses too!

On a plus note, this means some possible good OTO's today! (That's One Time Only's for the shopping channel impaired.)
ETA: Heard that there were only 7700 of these bags to start with. That is a really low number for the Q!

HSN TS: Pork Chop Feet

Bellini Croco-Embossed 2-Band Stretch Comfort Sandal

Item# 317-899
$29.90
Sizes: 51/2 - 12
Medium or Wide Width
Choice of Colors:
Charcoal - dark gray upper, gray lining, silvertone hardware.
Silver - silvertone upper, light gray lining, silvertone hardware.
Bronze - metallic brown upper, light brown lining, goldtone hardware.
Teal - metallic blue upper, light blue lining, silvertone hardware.
Red - metallic red and pink upper, pink lining, goldtone hardware.

First, I want to give a shout out to HSN for all the wide width shoes they have (not that Queen Bea has big pork chop feet with splaying monkey toes or anything because I'm pretty sure she has petite Cinderella-esque feet). Seems like shoe designers/manufacturers have forgotten that not everyone has a medium-width foot.

Not that I can relate, but I know people with very narrow feet and they have just as hard of a time finding shoes that actually fit them. So big props to HSN for trying to be accommodating.

This shoe doesn't really move me either way. Not sure why the bottom lining is leather, but the top is faux ... but what's a shopping channel without a little faux.

ShopNBC OTV: Leather in June!

Pamela McCoy Croco-Embossed Leather Jacket

Item# A16975

$89.95
5 ValuePays of $17.99
Sizes XS through 3X
Colors Aloe, Cantelope, Denim, White

Oh, Pamela! What are you thinking, darling? Leather in June? Who is picking these OTV's? Anyone? Anyone? This just makes no sense. Are they trying to get the hard-to-reach Alaska demographic???

As to the jacket ... love croco-embossed leather, love the buckle and zipper hardware details (sometimes Pamela gets a little too crazy with the hardware), love the lining and the special armpit sweat guards ... cause trust me, honey, you're gonna need them if you're gonna wear a leather jacket in June! And, of course, Pamela did her super special look-like-you-just-lost-ten-pounds princess seaming trick. Queen Bea enjoys any trick that makes her look skinny (skinnier ... less chubby ... whatever!).
