QVC States Returned Cosmetics are Tossed Out, Not Re-Sold

I tried to warn the Q that the "reselling used cosmetics" story was going viral. Read Queen Bea's warning here. It's not hard to figure out that when Perez Hilton is covering the story, you're in trouble!

Lo and behold, what story turned up on Huffington Post? Yeah, you know the one.

Finally, QVC has posted a short response on their community blogs:
I'd like to take an opportunity to comment and provide clear guidance related to recent postings in the QVC community about what happens when customers return cosmetics to QVC. I want to offer you some assurance that the practice and policy we follow is this: cosmetics returned to QVC are disposed and are not returned to stock.

Please know that if you ever feel you've received a cosmetics item from QVC that appears to have been opened or used, you can just call and report it to our Customer Services team at 1.800.367.9444. We'll promptly help you return the item for a full refund.

You gotta nip this stuff in the bud before it grows out of control!

The Eyes Have It at HSN

Something new for all you beauty babes ... Eyes by Design, a high-end cosmetics and skincare line from Estee Lauder, will be coming to HSN in July.

Eyes by Design is a small line of 17 products that focuses exclusively on the eyes. You order one of the four Transforming Eye Palettes based on your eye color--blue, green, hazel, or brown.

You'll get a step-by-step guide (complete with maps of the eye area so you don't get lost! that's good cause Queen Bea might accidentally line her nostrils!), and applicators with special grips on them for more control. Plus, the products aren't just pretty, they're supposed to have some treatment and concealing benefits too.

I can't put eyeliner on correctly to save my soul! I manage to do a passable job on the right eye--not great by any stretch--but the left eye looks like a toddler scribbled all over my face. So if these products (applied with their special-grip brushes!) really work, I'll be all over it.

The eyes are the window to the soul ... so for goodness sakes put some high-end, designer curtains on 'em, chickadees! :-)
