Charla is Da Bomb, Baby

Charla Rines is by far the kookiest and funniest home shopping host out there. Granted, she can be a tad over the top and a little too much to take at times, but I'd rather be annoyed occasionally than bored all the time.

I was channel surfing last night and happened to come by Charla selling Isomers on ShopNBC. If I see Charla, I have to pause and listen for at least a couple minutes. You just never know what she's gonna do.

Charla seemed genuinely passionate about the Isomers products she was presenting. She talked about what she uses regularly and the results that she has seen--using her own face to demonstrate results. And, no, she didn't look like an airbrushed supermodel. She looked like a regular lady fighting the good fight against the ever-persistent hands of time.

Charla was not only entertaining, but she interacted with the vendor, the fabulous Manuela Marcheggiani, as if she were a customer with substantive questions about the products.

For her part, Manuela was personable and informative. She didn't gloss over the research that explained how and why a particular product worked. I see why Isomers has such a loyal following. It seems to be the way Philisophy was in the beginning, before everything became about a big bowl of sudsy Gingerbread Man shower gel demonstrations.

They were perfect together. The inquisitive entertainer coupled with the knowledgeable vendor was so refreshing. It was everything that home shopping could and should be. And this was on ShopNBC of all places!

I almost ordered some anti-reddness serum since I have such a problem with dry, red skin. Almost. I think that the only thing that stopped me was that there wasn't a special on that specific product. But as soon as there is ...

Today's Blue Plate Specials ... Shocking!

The QVC TSV is a Kodak 12x Zoom 8.0 Megapixel Digital Camera with Optical IS. Other then the fact that I love to zoom, I have no idea if this is a good camera or not. I checked out the reviews online and they seem to be pretty good overall--basically a good camera for the price. Also the QVC price seems to be slightly less than other site I looked at (although with shipping and tax it's about the same). But there was an issue with the power button of all things:

For some stupid reason they've integrated power button with flash ejector. So to turn camera on, you have to eject flash first then turn camera on. It makes process of taking pictures so much longer. And on top of that, that same button doesn't latch properly sometimes. So you have to repeat process twice before the camera turns on.

The HSN TS is a Professor Amos Shock It Clean 16-piece Anniversary Kit. I love cleaning products! I'm a sucker for anything new that I see at the store. My latest favorite is Swiffer--the Wet Jet and the 360 Duster. Love! Love! Love! Anyway, back to the Professor ... the reviews for his products are mixed. Those who love it, really love it and those who hate it, despise the stuff.

I love watching Professor Amos. First, he's bald like Mr. Queen Bea (solar panel of love as he likes to say). Plus, he's so energetic and positive that I would love to believe that the products work as they show on HSN. Maybe some people don't mix the concentrate correctly? I don't know. Although I can't get this today, it's on my list to try.

The ShopNBC OTV is an Acer Aspire 17" Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83GHz Blu-ray Notebook with $100 Rebate. I hate rebates. I'm always pretty sure that there are rooms of bitter, poorly paid cube rats whose entire job is to go through all my rebate paperwork looking for any reason to not honor it. If they wanted to give you $100 dollars off, they'd just give you $100 off. Why do a rebate?

Check out the $1.99 shipping on all Isomers here.

Today's Blue Plate Specials ... Isomers by the Bucket!

Alright all you devoted Isomers girls ... today's your day! ShopNBC is offering a half liter ... yes, you read that right ... a half liter of Isomers Neck & Chin Firming w/ Essenskin & Ovaliss as their OTV.

Queen Bea would love to take a bath in that firming stuff so she wouldn't have to tuck her boobs into her pants anymore! :-)

Personally, I have issues with redness and have heard rave reviews about the anti-redness serum. I'm hoping it'll come back in stock soon so I can give it a whirl.

HSN has a Perlier Double Your Rice Skin Care Collection as their TS. Honestly, I don't know much about this line, but the reviews seem to be good overall. Make sure you check out the Pre-Birthday Blow Out going on ... lots of clearance deals!

QVC's TSV is a Denim & Co. Set of 3 Stretch Wrinkle Resistant Shirts. At first, I thought the $39.28 price was for one shirt, which would be ridiculous--especially after shipping and taxes are added in. No, it's a set of three shirts, so I guess the price is ok.

I just think that they should have used some of that Hollywood Fashion Tape on the model for that gap between the buttons ... I'm just saying.

BTW, notice the all-new mermaid fairy Kirks Folly? No, they aren't leaving the Q.
