Cristina Carlino, Miracle Worker
When Cristina Carlino appeared on my television screen last night after a nine-month absence, I had to do a double take. She looks so different!
Cristina credits the technology behind her new Philosophy Miracle Worker Anti-Aging Retinoid Pads for her "miraculous" transformation.
Hmmm .... call me skeptical, but new appearance plus long absence usually equals only one thing. I just can't believe that there wasn't a little something more than a new retinoid involved here. Now I'm not saying that she had the full Joan Rivers, but I'm guessing that there just might be a human hand involved in her miraculous transformation.
If she really did get those results from her new miracle products, then Queen Bea is going to pray at the alter of the Philosophy auto-delivery gods!
What do you think? Check out some older pictures of Cristina here (scroll to the right), here, and here.

JMO, but she doesn't look any different to me. What I find different in that picture above is that she's smiling, actually smiling. She's always come across as such a gloomy gus.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely her hair and her eyebrows are well-lined. She looks amazing. Don't think there's any cosmetic tricks here :)
DeleteHey Linda! You could be right about the smile ... Cristina always seemed so depressed during her presentations. But I do think she looks really different now!
ReplyDeleteThe only difference I notice is a slight change in hairstyle and the smile as well.
ReplyDeleteIf she looks the same then why don't we look the same with the passage of time? Since these photos her nose has been done, and possibly her cheeks--they are more evened out now, and her chin/neck area has seen some liposuction. Plus another weight loss. I think she looks great but her haughty attitude persists. A change in this area would be appreciated. She is disrespectful of the hosts and the callers' compliments. It is rare she says a simple "thank you" but rather just plows on, extoling the fantastic properties of her products. I believe her presentations verbally undermine the products she is presenting. She never stops hammering home how "fantastic" and "miraculous" they are, as if she had discovered a cure for cancer. Jacqui just told her how wonderful she thought the products were when she discovered them, and there was no reply from Cristina, just a continued hard sell.
ReplyDeleteI think she lost some weight. She seemed alot more personable too. Not so serious and stern.
ReplyDeleteThis was the best she has ever looked. Just goes to show how much better we all look when we smile. The woman always had such a dark aura about her, whatever she did, she needs to keep doing it. She seems so much happier and nicer. I guess I need to buy the 'Today's special'!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that the new smile and lighter touch on air represents the beauty secret we ALL should use.
ReplyDeleteShe appears cross-eyed in this picture causing her to look "simple". Will using her products cause this? roflmao.
ReplyDeleteMake room on the Skeptical Bench for one more ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it is because she has 9 months off to s do whatever she wanted. She has always wanted more time to spend with Grace. From what I have read, she actually sold the company. Frankly, I was surprised to see her at all. I think that QVC might have asked her to appear since these were new franchise products.
ReplyDeleteDidn't she and her brother sell the company for $450 million? Heck, that would brighten my skin up for sure!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteShe sold the company a loooooong time ago - years ago.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, $450 million would brighten my skin up, too!! LOL :-)
I feel for the man she lives with, what a miserable woman.
ReplyDeleteI thought she looked different, as well, but chalked it up to weight loss. She has talked before about having menopausal issues so maybe she is past that. I am surprised that she appears so seldom on QVC. I know she sold the company but I thought she would continue to be the face of philosophy, but maybe the other two--Merry Lynn and Dara Lynn are more appealing to QVC viewers. I'm loving the new Miracle Worker line, but I am disappointed that tne new owners have branched out in such a way as to make philosophy almost a pedestrian line. I saw that at drugstore.com they are selling philosophy eye makeup remover. Purity made simple has always been advertised as being a 4 in 1--makeup remover, eye makeup remover, toner and cleanser--and it does all of those jobs very well. Now they need an actual eye makeup remover?! That and the sea mist and mask just don't seem to be up to philosophy standards. But I will continue to use the products I love and will cast a wary eye at some of the new stuff. But, the Miracle Worker line is fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen she was on with Jacques she acknowledged the internet rumors that she had work done and claimed she had used botox before, but nothing major. I had never seen her before, so I had nothing to compare it to.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that hit me when I looked at the older photos was her nose. She is a beautiful woman with beautiful skin, but her nose looks less prominent now. I suppose it could be her hairstyle, but I really do think she had her nose done.
OMG!!! I haven't seen her in awhile. She's definitely all botox-ed up. Her face is not moving, only her mouth and eyes. I guess we're paying top dollar for crap that ends up being washed down the sink, so get can pay to get her face deep freezed.
ReplyDeleteI think my previous post was harsh. After some thinking, I realize that she has the right to get work done if she wants. I was just shocked to see her looking like a 35 year old. I'd probably do the same thing if I had the money.
ReplyDeleteShe began her career working for a plastic surgeon, so maybe she rang him up for a little "work"! She does look different, but I can't put my finger on why. I saw her forehead move, so I wouldn't say botox. Her hair is straighter and I think she gained a little weight. She looks good, just different.
ReplyDeleteYes, I noticed her nose is different first time I saw her today.
ReplyDeleteShe did say that she had Botox for her crows feet in January, but said the rest was due to Miracle Worker.
ReplyDeleteI think she actually looks ill...dark circles, too-thin face, sallow color. Last year she looked fresh and healthy...I'm a nurse and to me, she looks sick.
ReplyDeletei hadn't noticed the nose til I read this post, but she certainly has had it done. She also looks like she had a mid face lift done, as well as work on the neck, and fillers in her cheeks. The apples of her cheeks are higher. That's fillers. Looking at her old picture, her teeth were beautiful. Why's she have to futz with the teeth?
ReplyDeleteshe did admit to having botox only on her crows feet tho.......
ReplyDeleteI won't be purchasing her products ever again. Just last weekend she was selling her products on QVC and made a very smug statement that "I don't WORK anymore, I just spend time with my daughter". Well, Christina, if you do not need the money, and don't have to or want to work, why are you still on TV selling the product? She comes across very condescending and pompous. No more Philosophy products for me...until they change spokespeople.
ReplyDeleteJust watching her on QVC, looked at her hair for a while, and noticed she had no scalp line...nor hair line at her forehead. I suspect she's wearing a wig, and I suspect she's had some health issues. Who knows. She actually is smiling more tho, and that's nice to see. However, I do feel for the sales hosts who present with her. She continues to condescend, and admonish, and be so interuptive with her pedantic manner.
ReplyDeleteI like Christina and hope she is not gone from Philosophy and QVC. Her products do what they claim and I love using what I can afford.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's still true. Women are rotten to each other. Lighten up ladies, work or no work, surgery or no surgery...we are our each others worst enemies. Celebrate the fact that a woman made herself into a success and that she turned away from it to be a mother. Just because she has made that choice doesn't mean she can't return to some occasional work for fun and truly does not need to be ripped apart because of it. I personally know that she is a sweet woman with a heart of gold.
ReplyDeletehi ladies go to Wikipedia an enter coty, inc at the bottom of the article it discuses coty acquiring Philosophy as of november 2010 very interesting the whole article an the history of Coty, inc worth reading, but this would explain why some ladies are seeing Philoshy in unexpected venues.
ReplyDeleteThis is some funny stuff women talk about. Thanks for making me laugh! : )
ReplyDeleteshe has definitely had work done... a lot.. like 30,000 worth..
